Here at the Women's Law Center, our goal is to give women a voice in the courtroom and beyond it. Each month we'll be picking a strong woman to highlight for our Strong Woman Spotlight. In honor of Veteran’s Day this month, the Women’s Law Center is featuring Casey Black, an Army veteran, for the second Strong Woman Spotlight!
Casey served from the late 90s to the early 2000s and completed her radiology certification before training to be a sonographer at Fort Bragg. She is currently ARDMS certified in OB/GYN and Fetal Echocardiology. Casey’s hard work didn’t stop when she finished her Army career. Her strength continued to shine through while she was raising two boys as a single mother. The obstacles she faced as a single mother were ones that she was proud to overcome. She was able to provide for her children and help them grow into their own unique passions. Casey established a comfortable life for her boys as a single mother before eventually remarrying to her now husband. She is now also a mother to beautiful 7-year-old girl with PCDH19, a rare epilepsy syndrome. Casey’s strength is inspiring to those around her because of her commitment to her family. She is a strong woman both because of her military career and because of her continued efforts as a mother and member of her community.
The Women’s Law Center continuously aims to highlight strong woman in the community. If you know someone you’d like to nominate, please send us a message on Facebook! To start or continue your journey as a strong woman, contact us today to schedule a consultation with one of our attorneys at (864)-707-1111.
